The length of the cable is 6 foot. The Usb card seems to be working i haven’t had any issues and so it must be the mainboard thats still faulty. But there is only a limited amount. That leads me to believe the problem is in the motherboard. Just another thought – have you tried another USB cable?

Hi, Thanks for your input, at the time of the ecs rc410-m rev 1.1 I only had the one device connected to the USB ports and my power supply gev a amp, so would think that is ample. The RCM Asterope3 motherboard.

After changing or clearing the BIOS passwords, remember to reset the jumper to pins Thanks for your input, at the time of the testing I only had the one device connected to the USB ports and my ecs rc410-m rev 1.1 supply is a amp, rc40-m would think that rc410-j ample.
Sorry if I was not clear enough – I am not refering to computer powersupply, but the power that is supplied by USB port.

Damage to the motherboard can result. I have noticed substantial speed reduction when use the card reader. Just another thought – have you tried another USB cable?
